Okay, here is a topic few people want to talk about, but is on everyone’s mind when in the wilderness. We all know the logistical problems of answering the "call of nature" when in a field or a base camp setting. I’ve been on a quest for sometime; a quest for the ultimate base camp toilet. Field sanitation is important. I’ve tried different systems and all have been lacking in some way. My criteria has been--the system must be:

1. Highly Portable - Doesn’t take up a lot of space
2. Can support the weight of someone my size (6’2” & 220 lbs)
3. Easy to use
4. Not messy

Well, I think I have found the answer. It is the
GO Anywhere Portable Toilet
®. It costs about $80 and it meets all of my criteria.
This compact toilet weighs only seven pounds and folds closed to standard briefcase size. It provides the comfort, height and ease of use of a standard toilet, supports up to 500 pounds and is stable on uneven ground. No mixing, messy chemical waste storage tanks or dump stations required. No assembly required.

Each Unit Includes:

  • One portable toilet.

  • 3 GO Anywhere Toilet Kits® (Wag Bags®).

  • Instruction sheet.

  • Weight: 7lbs

  • Supports up to 500 Lbs.

  • To be used with GO Anywhere Toilet Kits® (Wag Bags®).

  • Built-in carry handle.

The GO Anywhere Toilet Kits® (formerly called Wag Bags®) come complete with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The kit is designed to prevent the spread of disease with no spills, splashbacks or waste contact. The kit contains a biodegradable solution that traps, encapsulates, deodorizes and breaks down waste with a NASA-developed gelling agent. Replacement 12 pack kits costs about $40.

Each Kit Includes:

  • Waste bag.

  • Poo Powder® gelling/deodorizing agent.

  • Secure puncture-resistant zip-close disposal bag.

  • Individual toilet paper.

  • Hand sanitizer.

  • Each waste kit gels up to 32 oz. making it a multiple use bag, lowering the cost per use.

  • 32 oz. is a full quart and 40% more than other products.

  • Indefinite dry shelf life.

You can also add a portable shelter and you have privacy.

Folks, it doesn't get any easier than this. Used by FEMA and the U. S. Army, the Go Anywhere Portable Toilet© might just might be the answer to your base camp field sanitation needs.
